LSEG kicks off Pride Month with special Market Close ceremony

This week, LSEG welcomed Pride in London, charity partner GiveOut, and special guests from across the LGBTQ+ community, to kick off celebrations for Pride Month 2025. This month we are reflecting on the theme ‘A Friend in Need’, encouraging our colleagues at LSEG to stand alongside our LGBTQ+ community as true friends, as well as allies.

LSEG’s Pride Network, including global lead Ed Rainer and EMEA lead Ben Parsons, Erica Bourne, Chief People Officer at LSEG, Jennifer Thomas, Global Head of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion at LSEG, and Julia Hoggett, CEO of the London Stock Exchange hosted the Market Close ceremony. The event included a memorable performance by queer collective Homoparody, followed by a panel session on ‘Volunteering with Pride – elevating LGBTQ+ voices through service’. Participants included moderator Dee Llewellyn, Director of Partnerships & Growth, Pride in London, and panellists Emma Miller-McCaffrey, Partnerships Manager, The Proud Trust; Sunil Pant, a human rights activist, monk, and former politician; Lisa Power MBE, sexual health and LGBT rights campaigner; and Dani St James, founder and CEO of Not A Phase.
