With effect from Monday 13 November 2000, National Westminster Bank Plc (trading as Greenwich NatWest Limited) will transfer its gilt-edged market making (GEMM) and fixed interest market making businesses to a new member firm, The Royal Bank of Scotland plc (RBOS).
RBOS will be authorised to act as a GEMM and a fixed interest market maker. RBOS will settle its own busines.
All transactions entered into by National Westminster Bank Plc, which remains unsettled as at close of business on Friday 10 November 2000, will be settled by RBOS in the name of National Westminster Bank Plc. Please note, however, that if any transactions entered into by National Westminster Bank Plc have still not been settled by close of business on Friday 1 December 2000, the responsibility for settlement will be transfered to RBOS.
