What is Prices and markets search?

Using the Prices and markets search, you can search for any listed company/security by the company information (company name, TIDM or ISIN), market type, admission date and FTSE sector filters. There are no changes to the functionality of this search engine as this is a combination of old website’s All price search, Search by market and Search by industry sector search engines with more filter options. 

What is the default display/filter?

By default, you will see all the companies/securities listed on London Stock Exchange covering all the security/instrument types sorted by alphabetical order (A-Z) of the company/security name.

How to filter?

Use the below filter types in order to search for any company/security;

• Company, code or ISIN - Search for a company/security by its name, code (TIDM / EPIC) or International Securities Identification Number (ISIN).
• Market - Filter companies/securities by the listed market.
• Instrument type - Filter companies/securities by type. 
• Admission date - Filter companies/securities by admission date or date range.
• Index - Filter companies/securities by FTSE indices.
• Sector - Filter companies/securities by FTSE industry sectors.
• Alphabetic tiles - Search for companies/securities by starting letter of its name.

What do you find on search results and how to sort them?

Your search results will be consisted of the below information of listed companies/securities and it will be presented in a table format.

• Code - A short, unique code used to identify UK-listed securities/instruments. Also known as Tradable Instrument Display Mnemonics (TIDM) or ticker. Click on the column header to sort your results in alphabetical order (A-Z or Z-A).
• Name - Name of the the security/instrument. Click on the column header to sort your results in alphabetical order (A-Z or Z-A).
• Currency - Trading currency of  the security/instrument. Click on the column header to sort your results in alphabetical order (A-Z or Z-A).
• Market capital (£m) - Market capital of the security/instrument issuer. Click on the column header to sort your results either highest - lowest or lowest - highest.
• Net variation -  The daily change in the price of the security/instrument, i.e. the difference between the displayed price of an instrument and the last close price. Click on the column header to sort your results either highest - lowest or lowest - highest.
• Price - Price of the security/instrument. This is the last automatic trade, the last uncrossing price or the mid-price of the best bid and offer prices available for the instrument. Click on the column header to sort your results either highest - lowest or lowest - highest.
• Change % - The daily change percentage in the price of the security/instrument, i.e. the difference between the displayed price of an instrument and the last close price as a percentage. Click on the column header to sort your results either highest - lowest or lowest - highest.
• Related news - A blinking news icon will be visible if there is a regulatory news released today for a particular instrument or a static news icon will be visible if there are regulatory news available for a particular instrument within the past 3 months but no news have been released today.
• Type - Security/instrument type. This can be either Equity, Bonds, ETFs or Others. Click on the column header to sort your results in alphabetical order (A-Z or Z-A).

• If you select 'Show only LSE Issuers instruments' checkbox, you will only see the securities/instruments which are listed in United Kingdom. The country of share register for these securities/instruments will appear as GB (Great Britain) as their country of incorporation is United Kingdom.
• If you do not select 'Show only LSE Issuers instruments' checkbox, the results table will display a mix of  UK listed securities/instruments as well as cross listed securities/instruments. The country of share register for cross listed securities/instruments will be different to GB as their country of incorporation is not United Kingdom.
