Today, the London Stock Exchange welcomed BlackRock, Europe’s largest ETF provider, to mark the launch of the iShares FTSE All World UCITS ETF (FTAW).
FTAW seeks to track the FTSE All-World Index, a broad, market-capitalisation-weighted benchmark covering more than 4,000 large- and mid-cap stocks across approximately 45 developed and emerging markets. Part of the FTSE Global Equity Index Series, the FTSE All-World Index represents around 90–95% of the world’s investable equity market, offering investors comprehensive exposure to global equities through a single instrument.
The addition of FTAW provides investors with greater choice and flexibility across indices, structures and regions, while drawing on BlackRock’s scale to improve access to core equity exposures.
“By seeking to replicate the performance of the global equity market, the iShares FTSE All World UCITS ETF offers a clear and transparent investment approach.”
“This makes it well suited as a core portfolio holding for long-term investors seeking broad market exposure without the complexity of active stock selection or regional allocation decisions.”
Vincent Denoiseux
“The FTSE All-World Index is one of the world's most recognised benchmarks for global equities.”
“We are delighted that iShares have added the FTSE All-World Index to their line-up of ETFs benchmarked to our FTSE Russell indices in Europe.”
