The London Stock Exchange today celebrates Vulcan Two plc’s readmission to trading on AIM. The Company is building the UK’s leading ePharmacy platform through buy-and-build focused on consolidating the fast-growing private prescription segment of the market.
To execute this plan, the Company has most recently successfully raised £40 million and completed the acquisitions of three UK ePharmacy businesses for a combined consideration of up to £41.7 million: CloudRx, Hyperdrug and Webmed.
CloudRx is a regulated digital prescription platform and B2B2C pharmacy that facilitates the prescribing, dispensing and distribution of prescription medicines through an integrated technology platform. Hyperdrug is a regulated online pharmacy specialising in the dispensing and distribution of private veterinary medications, while Webmed is a regulated B2C digital pharmacy that dispenses and distributes prescription medicines via a consumer-facing website. Together, these businesses provide the foundation for the Group’s platform.
The enlarged Group is expected to generate more than £35 million in revenue, with a significant proportion derived from recurring income streams, positioning it to benefit from the continued growth in digital healthcare adoption.
Vulcan Two is led by Chief Executive Officer Michael Kraftman and Chief Operating Officer Brendan O’Brien, who previously built Vision Direct into one of Europe’s leading online contact lens retailers through a combination of organic growth and acquisitions. The management team intends to leverage this experience to drive further consolidation in the ePharmacy sector.
“Today marks a significant milestone for Vulcan Two and the start of an exciting new phase for the business. We would like to thank investors for their confidence and support, which has enabled us to execute three complementary acquisitions and create a strong platform for growth.”
“The shift towards digital healthcare continues to accelerate in the UK, and we believe Vulcan Two has a compelling opportunity to help define the next phase of the sector’s evolution.”
