Today, the London Stock Exchange welcomed Allianz Global Investors to open the market in celebration of the listing of its Active ETF (Exchange Traded Fund) range, marking an important milestone in the expansion of its European active ETF platform.
The range brings Allianz GI’s active investment expertise into the ETF structure, offering investors access to strategies designed to combine the transparency, liquidity and accessibility of ETFs with the potential added value of active management.
The launch comes as Active ETFs continue to gain momentum across Europe, with investors increasingly looking for solutions that offer the flexibility of an ETF alongside the research, security selection and risk management capabilities of active investment teams.
For Allianz GI, the UK listing represents a further step in building a single European Active ETF platform and broadening access to its investment capabilities across key markets. The Active ETF range is designed to support investors seeking differentiated building blocks for diversified portfolios, with strategies spanning global, regional and US equity exposures as well as fixed-income strategies expected to follow, subject to regulatory approval.
“For us, ringing the bell at the London Stock Exchange is about much more than a listing: it reflects our conviction in active management and our commitment to continuing to innovate on behalf of investors. Active ETFs are one of the most compelling developments in asset management today, combining the transparency, liquidity and accessibility of the ETF structure with the research, security selection and risk management capabilities of active management. Today’s launch marks the beginning of a multi-year journey as we build a broader and comprehensive European platform for active ETFs.”
