“This issuance not only broadens our diversified sources of green funding—supporting high-quality green projects such as clean energy and energy-efficiency improvements in the UK and globally—but more importantly, it demonstrates international investors’ strong confidence in Bank of China’s sustainable-development strategy. It also reaffirms London’s exceptional vitality and global appeal as a leading centre for green finance.”

The bond raised a total of GBP250 million and CNH1.5 billion in sustainable finance, which will fund a mix of green and social projects over the next three years. The issuance attracted strong interest from a diversified high-quality investor base, with broad participation from international institutions and partners across multiple regions.
