iM Global Partner and DBi celebrate the listing of the first active UCITS ETF of its kind

Today the London Stock Exchange welcomes iM Global Partner and DBi to close the market to celebrate the listing of the iMGP DBi Managed Futures Fund R USD UCITS ETF (DBMF:LN); the first active UCITS ETF of its kind.

Since opening its first office in London in June 2015, iM Global Partner has built a global platform focused on delivering excellence in active management. Through equity partnerships with leading investment boutiques, it offers actively managed mutual funds, ETFs and SMAs powered by a shared commitment to independence, integrity and long-term performance.

Its Partner, DBi, founded in 2012 and today managing US$3.4 billion in assets, is a specialist in hedge fund replication that seeks to take the complexity out of investing in alternatives by offering simple, powerful and affordable solutions.

The iMGP DBi Managed Futures Fund R USD UCITS ETF builds on the success of its big brother, a US-listed managed futures ETF managed by DBi, launched in May 2019 and now the world’s largest of its kind. This listing on the London Stock Exchange is a significant milestone for iM Global Partner and DBi, having originally launched the fund in January 2023 as a UCITS SICAV.

The strategy aims to replicate the pre-fee performance of a representative basket of leading managed futures hedge funds, has expanded to include a version that does not invest directly in commodities as well as active UCITS ETF share classes listed in Paris and London.

With the European active UCITS ETF market having grown steadily in recent years, iM Global Partner and DBi are excited to be pioneers of flexible and innovative products that are helping to form the next generation of portfolio building blocks.

“Listing our active UCITS ETF share class on the London Stock Exchange is an important achievement for us and a moment for which we are extremely proud. Following years of offering actively managed ETFs in the US, we are very happy to bring this offering to the London Stock Exchange so that investors have the benefit of a more accessible, cost-efficient, and transparent way to gain exposure to the diversification benefits of managed futures.”
