The London Stock Exchange welcomes the Main Market listing of Georgina Energy Plc

The London Stock Exchange welcomes the Main Market listing of Georgina Energy Plc (LSE: GEX) (“Georgina”), following the completion of an acquisition of the company’s entire share capital by listed cash shell Mining Minerals & Metals Plc.

Georgina is a UK-domiciled early-stage well-redevelopment company with a strategy of actively pursuing the exploration, commercial development and monetisation of helium, hydrogen and hydrocarbon interests located in Australia. Georgina aims to become a leading player in the global energy market and is focused on establishing itself among the top producers of helium and hydrogen worldwide. With a strategic approach and leveraging the knowledgeable management team's expertise, Georgina aims to capitalise on opportunities in these critical energy sectors.

Georgina has two principal onshore interests. The first, the Hussar Prospect, in which the company holds a 100% working interest, is located in the Officer Basin in Western Australia. The second, the Mount Winter Prospect, is located in the Amadeus Basin in Northern Australia, which Georgina has a right to earn an initial 75% interest in (with the potential to reach 90%).

The projects benefit from established infrastructure and a reliable supply chain, offering significant resource potential through low-risk, cost-effective drilling projects.

In line with market demand trends, Georgina is well-positioned to capitalise on the growing gap between supply and demand for hydrogen and helium. The global demand for helium specifically is expected to rise from the rapid growth of the semi-conductor market.

The acquisition and placing has raised gross proceeds of £5m through the issue of 40,000,000 new ordinary shares at a placing price of 12.5p.
