The London Stock Exchange was delighted to welcome the Worshipful Company of Entrepreneurs to the Exchange for ‘Scale-up Capital 2026’, an exciting initiative spearheaded by the former and 696th Lord Mayor of the City of London, the Alderman Alastair King DL.
A carefully selected cohort of 14 of the UK’s most ambitious and investment-ready scale-ups took to the stage, presenting to an audience of investors and other capital providers. Each business reflected the strength and breadth of British entrepreneurial talent. Today’s event provided a focused opportunity for investors to discover high-quality opportunities right here at the Exchange, and for founders to connect with the capital and strategic support needed to accelerate their next stage of growth.
The Worshipful Company of Entrepreneurs is a livery company made up of experienced founders and business leaders who have built and grown successful businesses. Rooted in the City’s historic traditions and its much-admired guild tradition, it plays an important role in championing British entrepreneurship, supporting high growth businesses, and strengthening the UK’s position as a leading global centre for R&D and innovation.
The London Stock Exchange is proud to support and host Scale Up Capital, engaging with an exceptional cohort of high-growth businesses and reinforcing its commitment to championing UK entrepreneurs.
“We are proud to host the Worshipful Company of Entrepreneurs’ Scale-Up Capital event at the London Stock Exchange today. This event has convened a select group of investors and high-growth British businesses in the heart of the City of London. Events like these are truly excellent as they honour the Exchange’s historic and vital role to connect capital with opportunity – something we have done for hundreds of years. Today’s event reflects that in action: bringing together those who have capital and are looking to deploy it with those seeking it to fuel their growth.”
