The London Stock Exchange welcomes Marina Ahmad AM, British Land and Foundervine to celebrate the opening of Foundervine Spaces

Foundervine Spaces is a purpose-built hub for London’s founders, start-ups and entrepreneurs, offering high-quality workspace alongside access to growth capital, scale-up support, talent, executive training, and a programme of business events.

Its opening marks a significant milestone in both the regeneration of Canada Water and Foundervine’s long-standing role in championing London’s start-up and scale-up community. The site forms part of British Land’s £4 billion, 53-acre Canada Water redevelopment, delivering a new town centre, homes, workspace, retail and leisure facilities.

The London Stock Exchange has a long-standing partnership with Foundervine, focused on supporting founders building innovative and fast-growing businesses in London and across the UK. This event builds on a successful Market Close we hosted together last year with Labour MP Tristan Osborne and Conservative MP Blake Stephenson, where we welcomed over 100 founders, startup leaders and scale-up leaders to the Exchange. It provides an opportunity not only to celebrate Foundervine’s enduring impact in the UK startup economy, but also to recognise the risk-takers, entrepreneurs and wealth creators who are driving growth, jobs and innovation across our city.

To mark the occasion, this event brough together industry leaders, investors, regional funders, startup leaders and innovators to formally celebrate the new site in Southwark.

“London’s start-ups and small businesses need more support than ever, and Foundervine Spaces has been created to meet that need. It is more than a workspace; it is a place where entrepreneurs can feel included, build relationships, access opportunities and grow with confidence.

Through our work with London authorities and partners, Foundervine has supported hundreds of start-ups and small businesses to raise capital, strengthen their operations and connect with buyers and investors.

We are proud to be part of the regeneration of Canada Water, and to be working with British Land on a development that can create real business activity, collaboration and opportunity for communities across London.”

Cecil Adjalo

COO of Foundervine

“We’re pleased to welcome Foundervine to Three Deal Porters, our latest workspace at Canada Water, designed to support ambitious, scaling businesses. Building relationships with organisations like Foundervine is central to how we’re building a thriving ecosystem at Canada Water — connecting people, ideas and opportunity to support entrepreneurship and long-term business success in London.”

Michael Wiseman

Head of Campuses at British Land

“Foundervine Spaces is a powerful example of how collaboration between partners like Foundervine and British Land can create environments where founders can start, scale and succeed. Situated in Canada Water — once at the heart of London’s docklands, operating from the late 17th century through to 1969 — this new hub reflects the constant evolution of commerce in our city, from global trade to entrepreneurial innovation.”
