London Stock Exchange welcomes FinTech Wales to open the market celebrating Female Leaders Shaping Wales

London Stock Exchange today welcomed FinTech Wales to open the market in celebration of the female leaders shaping Wales’ economy, financial services sector and digital future.

The Market Open Ceremony was led by the Secretary of State for Wales, Rt Hon Jo Stevens MP, alongside The Rt Hon. The Lady Mayor, Dame Susan Langley DBE, Sarah Williams-Gardener OBE, Chair of FinTech Wales, and Sarah Jones, CEO of FinTech Wales. The event was hosted by Dame Julia Hoggett DBE, CEO of London Stock Exchange Group plc.

Senior leaders from across fintech, financial services, technology, law and industry gathered to mark the occasion and recognise the leadership driving growth, innovation and investment across Wales.

FinTech Wales is the independent membership association supporting the growth of the fintech and financial services industry in Wales. It works with startups, scale-ups, established firms, investors, academia and government to strengthen collaboration, develop talent and attract investment, building a globally competitive ecosystem that delivers innovation, skilled employment and long term economic impact.

The ceremony recognised female leaders who are shaping Wales across business, technology and financial services. Those in attendance included Lucy Cohen of Mazuma, Louise O’Shea of CFC, Rachel Lewis of Admiral Group, Harriet Rees of Starling Bank, Jen Lothian of DataWollet, Sally-Anne Skinner of Ogi, Savannah Price of Serene, Joanne Dewar of Project Nemo and Liz Jones of Deloitte, alongside senior leaders from Capital Law, Browne Jacobson, Acuity Law, Redkite Solicitors, Metro Bank, Mastercard, Confused.com, Atradius Collections, Cardiff Capital Region, RBC Brewin Dolphin and Front Door Communications.
