The London Stock Exchange welcomes Britain’s Got Startups for the Best of Britain Finale

The London Stock Exchange was delighted to welcome Britain’s Got Startups to the Exchange for the ‘Best of Britain Finale’ today. This was the culmination of a nationwide series of high-quality startup pitching events that covered every corner of the United Kingdom.

Twelve of the UK’s most exciting and innovative early-stage companies took to our stage, pitching head-to-head before an audience of investors, funders, and industry leaders. Each business showcased the best of British entrepreneurialism and innovation — with each pioneering a new and exciting technology, product or service. Those pitching also have a chance of winning the Two Magnolias Investment Prize — a significant six-figure investment.

Britain’s Got Startups is a fast-growing national platform that is dedicated to uncovering and championing high-potential founders from across the country — and not just in London. Through a series of regional pitching events, the initiative connects early-stage businesses with investors, mentors, and strategic partners. In doing so, Britain’s Got Startups has created meaningful pathways for startup growth and has helped play a role in closing regional funding gaps across the UK.

London Stock Exchange is proud to support the 2026 ‘Best of Britain’ campaign, engaging with an exceptional cohort of high-growth businesses and reinforcing its commitment to championing the UK’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.

“11 founders. 1 room. From every corner of the United Kingdom, every nation and every network - now here at the London Stock Exchange. This moment marks the culmination of an incredible journey both in a conceptual manner but also the physical too.

We have spent 60 hours behind the wheel of a 40-year-old Land Rover Defender driving to each event and meeting Britain’s ambitious entrepreneurs. With more than 2,300 miles travelled, seven virtual semi-finals and three regional showcases, we have seen the best of Britain in every founder we’ve met along the way.

Britain’s Got Startups was founded to create a truly national platform for founders, opening up access to investment, networks and opportunity regardless of background or location. Bringing our finalists to London Stock Exchange is a powerful milestone, reflecting a more inclusive, connected and ambitious UK startup ecosystem.”

“The ‘Best of Britain Finale’ is a clear reflection of the strength and vibrancy of the UK’s startup ecosystem, and the importance of creating platforms that elevate emerging founders. Across every region, we are seeing exceptional businesses building innovative solutions with real potential to scale.

At Notwics, we are focused on amplifying these stories — helping founders gain the visibility, connections and momentum they need to grow. Our partnership with Britain’s Got Startups has been about more than a competition; it has been about building a more connected and accessible ecosystem for early-stage companies across the UK.

Bringing this journey to a close at London Stock Exchange is a fitting milestone, highlighting both the progress made and the opportunity ahead to support the next generation of high-growth British businesses.”

“Today’s ‘Best of Britain Finale’ is a powerful demonstration of the strength, depth and regional diversity of the UK’s start up economy. Across the country, founders are building innovative, high-growth businesses with the potential to scale domestically and compete on a global stage.

As a leading global financial centre, the UK’s long-term competitiveness depends on its ability to support ambitious British companies as they grow — ensuring they can access the right capital, visibility and global markets required to realise their ambitions. At London Stock Exchange, we are committed to playing a central role in that journey, from early-stage growth through to the public markets”
