London Stock Exchange today welcomed Starling Group, marking a significant moment after the successful close of its debut bond issuance.
Starling is a fast-growing fintech on a mission to empower people and small businesses around the world to be good with money.
In the UK, Starling’s award-winning bank provides personal, business and joint current accounts to millions of customers.
Internationally, Engine by Starling provides the Group’s proprietary technology platform to like-minded banks as a Software-as-a Service (SaaS) proposition.
Headquartered in London, Starling has 12 offices located around the world, including Southampton, Cardiff and Manchester in its UK home market.
Closing the market in London today is a milestone for Starling, just days after its £150m Tier 2 bond offering — the first rated public sale by a European neobank — was oversubscribed by institutional investors.
NatWest and Morgan Stanley were Joint Lead Managers for the sale, with demand coming from major UK, European and international institutional investors and peaking at over £400m.
“We are delighted to mark this milestone at the London Stock Exchange, following investors’ incredibly positive response to our debut bond offering, which is a significant first for the neobanking sector and reflects strong confidence in the long term potential of Starling Group.”

“By listing our notes on the London Stock Exchange’s International Securities Market, we look forward to enabling more investors to be part of Starling’s incredible journey. We see significant opportunities to invest in Engine by Starling, to acquire and consolidate other financial services businesses through our ongoing M&A strategy, and to explore the acquisition of a banking licence in another geography.”
