London Stock Exchange celebrates Britain’s Most Admired Companies 2025

London Stock Exchange is proud to celebrate Britain’s Most Admired Companies 2025 today.

Run by Echo Research, in partnership with the London Stock Exchange, Britain’s Most Admired Companies is the UK’s longest-running annual corporate reputation study, with 36 years of insight tracking reputational performance across FTSE 100 and FTSE 250 companies.

The team celebrating on the balcony at LSEG during the welcome ceremony.

The study is based on peer and financial analyst assessment of 260 companies, spanning 28 sectors and 13 reputational drivers.

Echo Research is a leading global independent market research agency and expert witness in reputation, providing board-ready reputation insight and valuation to over 700 organisations worldwide.

Congratulations to Octopus Energy, crowned Britain’s Most Admired Company, and to Tufan Erginbilgiç, CEO of Rolls-Royce plc, voted Britain’s Most Admired Leader.

“Year after year, the results show that reputation is built on performance people can see and trust. Quality of products and services remains the strongest driver of admiration, alongside clarity of strategy, financial soundness, quality of management and the capacity to innovate.

What’s striking this year is how clearly reputation aligns with resilience: the companies rising fastest are those seen as disciplined, well-led and consistent in delivery, even in volatile conditions. At the same time, respondents highlight economic uncertainty, rising costs and regulatory complexity as the most significant barriers to growth for UK business.”
