Today, JCDecaux joins London Stock Exchange to celebrate the 10th anniversary of JCDecaux Nurture, its programme dedicated to helping ambitious startups and scale-ups build their brands and accelerate growth through Out-of-Home advertising.
Launched in the UK in 2016, Nurture was created to make brand-building through Out-of-Home more accessible to high-growth businesses, providing not only access to media but the guidance, expertise and support needed to help founders get the most from the channel.
Over the past decade, Nurture has supported more than 500 high-growth businesses in the UK, delivering over 2,000 campaigns and generating more than 30 billion audience impressions. Sixteen businesses supported by the programme have gone on to achieve unicorn status.
What began in London has since expanded internationally, with Nurture now operating across 13 markets worldwide, reflecting JCDecaux’s continued commitment to supporting the next generation of ambitious businesses as they scale.
The programme also reflects JCDecaux’s own entrepreneurial heritage. Founded by Jean-Claude Decaux in 1964, the business began with an innovative advertising-funded bus shelter model in Lyon and has since grown to become the world’s largest Out-of-Home media company, operating across 79 markets.
“JCDecaux was an entrepreneurial business just like many of the companies we are celebrating today – a great idea that started in Lyon and scaled to the world. Supporting the next generation of businesses is incredibly important to us, and it is why we started Nurture ten years ago. We are proud of the role the programme has played in supporting ambitious founders and look forward to the next ten years.”
Jean-François Decaux
To mark the anniversary, founders, CEOs, investors and partners from across the UK’s startup and scale-up ecosystem join JCDecaux at London Stock Exchange’s Market Close ceremony, celebrating the businesses driving growth and shaping the UK economy.
The milestone marks both ten years of Nurture and the start of its next chapter, as JCDecaux continues its mission to empower the global brands of tomorrow by commanding attention in the real world today.
