IGET marks combination with FRGT by opening trading at the London Stock Exchange

With the merger now finalised, the trust enters a new chapter of scale and strength—further reinforced by the fact that over 96% of FRGT shareholders chose to roll their holdings into IGET, signalling deep investor confidence in the enlarged company. IGET’s story stretches back to its incorporation on 25 August 2006, when its predecessor, Invesco Select Trust, first laid the foundations for what has become a focused, globally diversified equity income strategy. Nearly twenty years on, the Company is much in demand, issuing shares worth more than £60 million in the past 12 months despite the challenging issuance environment.

The combination increases IGET’s net assets to approximately £465 million [Note 1] and brings meaningful benefits including greater liquidity and lower ongoing charges for shareholders of the Company. IGET remains under the stewardship of Invesco’s award‑winning Global Equity Income team, led by Stephen Anness and Joe Dowling, supported by the firm’s deep global resources.

“We are delighted to begin this next chapter as an enlarged IGET. The overwhelming support from FRGT shareholders speaks volumes about the strength of our strategy and the opportunity ahead. Together, we have created a larger, more liquid, and more cost‑efficient company with the scale to compete and grow. We look forward to delivering sustained value for our expanded shareholder base.

With the market opening at the London Stock Exchange, the enlarged IGET begins this next phase with a clear focus: to leverage its increased scale, proven investment approach, and expanded shareholder base to continue delivering sustainable income and long‑term capital growth.”

Chair of IGET
