Celebrating the World Climate Investment Summit 2026 and closing the market with the World Climate Foundation

This afternoon, we welcomed the World Climate Foundation to the London Stock Exchange to mark the World Climate Investment Summit (WCIS) 2026, held on 25 June during London Climate Action Week.

Hosted by LSEG in partnership with the World Climate Foundation, the Summit convened senior representatives from across the global ecosystem, including international organisations, policymakers, investors and corporates.

Discussions centred on deploying capital into clean energy, infrastructure, and natural capital, as well as technology and new financing models and navigating a more complex and fragmented global landscape.

Across both the climate and nature finance halves of the summit, speakers emphasised the importance of moving from ambition to action, aligning capital with credible transition pathways.

The Summit also addressed the increasing interdependence between climate and nature, with sessions exploring opportunities in natural capital, food systems and resilience, as well as the implications of physical climate risk for investment strategies.

The event reinforced the importance of financial markets in delivering climate commitments ahead of COP31, whilst roundtables and workshops encouraged collaboration and practical implementation.

“At the halfway point between COP30 and COP31 the World Climate Investment Summit provides a critical point for the market to come together. This year, we brought together the right leaders, the right capital, and the right solutions — we showed that capital is moving and that despite many global challenges real progress is being made. We are helping enable the scaling of climate investment that delivers real, lasting impact.”
