Be who you are: LSEG celebrates Pride with a very special Market Close

As part of our Pride Month celebrations at LSEG, we were delighted to bring together colleagues, customers, partners and members of the LGBTQ+ community for a very special Market Close ceremony.

The team celebrating on the balcony at LSEG during the welcome ceremony.

Hosted by Catherine Johnson, Group General Council, LSEG and LSEG EDI Network Sponsor, alongside Ben Parsons and Ed Rainer, LSEG Pride Network Global Co-Leads, the special ceremony was delivered in partnership with LSEG Foundation partner GiveOut - the international LGBTQ+ community foundation supporting LGBTQ+ people around the world where rights are limited or non-existent. The event reflected this year’s Pride Month theme at LSEG, Be Who You Are: creating a culture where everyone feels respected, included and free from pressure.

The event featured vibrant performances from the London Gay Big Band, drag queen Vanity von Glow and special guest Tiara Skye, award-winning street walker and queer talker.

We were delighted to hear from Virginia Magwaza, Executive Director of Parents, Families & Friends of South African Queers - a GiveOut partner – on their experiences of LGBTQ+ identity. Emma Appleby, Head of Programme Delivery, Open for Business, delivered insights from their latest research, and Tiara candidly talked about her experiences and latest exciting projects in a dialogue with LSEG Pride Network Global Co-Lead, Ed.

Thank you to everyone who joined the celebrations.
