Members of the International Organisation of Securities Commissions (IOSCO) and its Affiliate Members Consultative Committee (AMCC) are gathered in London for their Mid-Year Meeting.
IOSCO is the international body that brings together the world’s securities regulators and is recognised for setting global standards for financial markets regulation. The organisation develops and promotes the implementation of internationally recognised standards for regulators.
The AMCC is comprised of 70+ affiliate members, representing global securities and derivatives markets and other market infrastructures, self-regulatory organisations (SROs), investor protection funds, as well as other bodies involved in the securities industry.
The objectives of the AMCC are to share experiences and enhance cooperation among its members. It provides input into policies and standard-setting activities proposed by IOSCO.
IOSCO Secretary General Rodrigo Buenaventura and AMCC Chair Andrew J. Kriegler are joined by colleagues from the AMCC and their delegates, to kick-off their Mid-Year Meeting.
“Pleased to open the market at LSEG today, at the margins of IOSCO’s AMCC meeting. Many of our discussions have centred on key developments in financial markets, and how public-private partnerships can play an important role, going forward, in supporting IOSCO’s mission to drive market integrity and foster innovation in transforming markets.”
Rodrigo Buenaventura
“On behalf of members of the AMCC and the Canadian Investment Regulatory Organisation (CIRO), I am thrilled to spotlight the importance of international collaboration, and the cooperative efforts of industry and regulators in IOSCO’s initiatives through the AMCC, and our presence here in London. Working together will ensure global market integrity as the industry transforms.”
