London Stock Exchange proudly hosted HSBC as they celebrated their 160th anniversary

Today, the London Stock Exchange proudly hosted HSBC as they celebrated their 160th anniversary.

HSBC was born from one simple idea – a local bank serving international needs. In March 1865, HSBC opened its doors for business in Hong Kong, helping to finance trade between Europe and Asia. They have been supporting their customers for 160 years. Today, they serve around 41 million personal, wealth and corporate customers worldwide in 58 markets.

To commemorate this milestone, the London Stock Exchange welcomed business leaders and some of their longest standing clients to celebrate this milestone.

“Our enduring partnership with our customers has been a cornerstone of HSBC's success for the last 160 years. By connecting local and international opportunities, we empower businesses and individuals to thrive in our rapidly changing world. We’re proud of history but equally excited by what’s next for the bank and our customers.”
