London Stock Exchange Group celebrates their Gold Defence Employer Recognition Scheme Award

London Stock Exchange Group has been highlighted by UK Defence as an exemplar to employers, particularly within the City of London, as an organisation that pledges, demonstrates, and advocates support to Defence and the Armed Forces Covenant.

On Monday, the LSEG Chairman, senior leaders, and members of LSEG’s Veterans network joined Major General James Bowder OBE and senior military representatives at a special Market Close ceremony.

LSEG has forged strong links with the armed forces over the years supporting wounded military personnel, sponsoring adventure training for military reservists, supporting the cadet forces, and helping service leavers pursue career opportunities.

LSEG champion military talent – we recognise the leadership, resilience, and adaptability that military experience brings and we’re proud to be an organisation where those qualities thrive.

Receiving the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme Gold Award reflects our ongoing commitment to supporting the armed forces community, not just in principle, but in practice. LSEG has been recognised for:

  • Recruitment events and insight days for service leavers
  • LSEG’ Veteran Talent Scheme, and mentoring for service leavers
  • Active affiliation with the London Guards Regiment (Army reserves)
  • Sponsoring, as a key partner, the X-Forces ‘Soldiering On Awards’
  • Supporting a range of military charities and organisations
  • Sponsoring the X-Forces ‘Cadets in Enterprise’ scheme
  • Sponsoring the annual LSEG ‘Max Karo’ Cup for the best Army cadet in London

An additional 10 days leave for Reservists and Cadet Force Adult Volunteers.
