Now the largest global celebration of entrepreneurship, with events taking place across 200 countries, the eighteenth annual Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) began this morning, Monday 17 November. Organised in the UK by GEN UK and CfE, GEW was established in 2007 to promote entrepreneurship and highlight the importance of entrepreneurs to Britain's economy, with this year’s theme 'Together We Build'.

The UK remains a vibrant hub for entrepreneurship, with almost 900,000 businesses set up over the past year. At the same time, there is an acute need to continue investing in our entrepreneurial ecosystem and create a more dynamic environment to scale businesses and empower entrepreneurs.

The launch of GEW UK was organised by Integra in partnership with GEN UK, CfE, Endava, The Worshipful Company of Entrepreneurs, E2Exchange, Zinc, Startup Coalition, Scaleup Institute, Scaleup Britain, Young Enterprise, Youth Business International, Social Enterprise UK, Zinc, and The Entrepreneurs Network.
