The International Swaps and Derivatives Association, Inc. (ISDA) celebrated its 40th anniversary with a market close ceremony at the London Stock Exchange.
Founded in 1985, ISDA has played a pivotal role in shaping the global derivatives markets. Over the past four decades, the association has developed foundational standards like the ISDA Master Agreement, promoted legal certainty in derivatives markets and advanced risk management practices. Today, ISDA continues to lead the industry through innovation, including the development of a suite of digital solutions that enable users to increase transparency and efficiency and reduce costs.
The market close ceremony is part of a year-long celebration of ISDA’s accomplishments and its ongoing commitment to build safer, more resilient financial markets. It also coincides with the launch of new digital initiatives aimed at transforming derivatives markets, such as the ISDA Notices Hub – an online platform that gives users a faster and more efficient method for delivering critical termination notices and reduces the uncertainty and risk of losses that can result from delays.
Speaking at the event,
“As we celebrate ISDA’s 40th anniversary, we’re not just looking back – we’re looking forward. This milestone is a testament to the dedication of our members and the strength of our mission. We remain committed to building safer, more efficient markets and driving the next wave of innovation in derivatives markets.”
