The London Stock Exchange was honored to welcome a high-level ministerial delegation from the Arab Republic of Egypt, who rang in the opening bell in a landmark “Egypt Day” event, led by H.E. Mr. Ahmed Kouchouk, Egypt’s Minister of Finance. The delegation included ministers and senior officials from the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade, the Central Bank of Egypt, the Financial Regulatory Authority, and the Egyptian Exchange.
Together, these institutions are advancing a coordinated effort to strengthen Egypt’s presence in global financial markets and place transparency, consistency, and openness at the heart of its economic strategy.
Through a number of high-level panel discussions, talks and meetings with key stakeholders– including senior policymakers and global market participants – the delegation will discuss the fiscal, monetary, and regulatory policies undertaken and have yet to come as part of Egypt’s ambitious and on-going reform agenda.
In addition to discussions on Egypt’s structural reforms, Egypt Day also sets the stage for dialogue on the country’s IPO momentum, and regulatory innovation aimed at expanding the depth and resilience of the domestic financial ecosystem.
Hosted in London’s financial district, this event reflects Egypt’s ongoing efforts to foster deeper capital market integration, broaden access to diversified financing tools, and sustain a disciplined macro-fiscal trajectory. At its core, the occasion marks a dynamic policy shift that prioritises transparency, private sector empowerment, and global capital connectivity.
“This is not just about telling Egypt’s story — it’s about how we choose to tell it: through results, realism, and a firm commitment to openness.”
Ahmed Kouchouk
