Celebrating UK Leadership on Climate Finance and the start of London Climate Action Week 2025
London – LSEG was delighted to open trading in London today to celebrate the beginning of London Climate Action Week (LCAW) 2025.
We were joined by an exciting line-up of climate leaders including Rachel Kyte, UK Special Representative for Climate, Mr. Dan Ioschpe, COP 30 Climate High-Level Champion l, Nick Mabey Founder & Chair of London Climate Action Week, and Dr Rhian-Mari Thomas OBE, Chief Executive, GFI, who LSEG are partnering with throughout the week for the morning TV show: ‘London Climate Action Week: Finance Live’. Jane Goodland, LSEG’s Group Head of Sustainability hosted the Market Open.
London Climate Action Week 2025 is running all this week and is shaping up to be the biggest and most impactful yet, with over 700 events planned. This city-wide festival aims to drive climate action locally and internationally, bringing together professionals, communities, and individuals to address climate change. The week will feature a wide range of events, from large-scale conferences to community-led initiatives, covering diverse topics like finance, energy, policy, and nature.
LSEG plays an active role in facilitating climate finance conversations throughout the week. We are hosting 12 events including the daily broadcast show with GFI, hosted by Axel Threlfall, Editor-at-Large, Reuters and featuring 40+ influential voices in climate and nature finance, policy, economics, and business.
Other key moments at LSEG over the week will include;
- 24 June | Carbon Markets events with VCMI and GFI.
- 24 June | Chapter Zero event on empowering boards to tackle the climate agenda.
- 25 June | Climate Transition Plans – navigating the pathway ahead with ISSB, TPI & WBCSD.
- 26 June | Market Open to celebrate the launch of the UN SSE Model Guidance on climate transition plans.
- 26 June | The fourth World Climate Investment Summit, a flagship event of LCAW, which we are hosting in partnership with the World Climate Foundation.
