LSEG was delighted to host Economist Impact to open trading in London today, to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of their Sustainability Week.
Starting today, Sustainability Week will bring together more than 1500 senior sustainability professionals from around the World and over 200 speakers from across industries to discuss the transition to a low-carbon, sustainable global economy.
Jane Goodland, Group Head of Sustainability at LSEG, who hosted the Market Open, said: “With focus areas including the global energy transition, sustainable supply chains and procurement, this week is relevant not only to the companies worldwide that are raising finance on the London Stock Exchange’s markets but also the investors that are deploying capital and seeking accurate data to support their decision-making.”
On Tuesday 11th March, Claire Dorrian, Head of Sustainable Finance, LSEG Markets, will be joining Vijay Vaitheeswaran, Global Energy and Climate Innovation Editor, The Economist, and Sue Lloyd, Vice-Chair, International Sustainability Standards Board, for a fireside chat on the challenges and opportunities of effective sustainability disclosures. This follows a keynote interview with John Kerry, former US Secretary of State.
“It’s clear that, ten -years in, sustainability remains central to corporate and investor concerns. We’re delighted that LSEG has supported us in celebrating this milestone and is contributing their expertise to the conference agenda.”
