British Chamber of Commerce close the market to mark the annual Chamber Business Awards

The London Stock Exchange once again welcomed the British Chambers of Commerce (BCC) for the annual Chamber Business Awards ceremony. Now in their 22nd year, the awards are one of the showpiece events in the business calendar. They highlight the role of firms across the UK in delivering growth, prosperity and innovation.

The event was moderated by the BCC’s President Baroness Martha Lane-Fox CBE.

The BCC sits at the heart of a powerful network of 51 Chambers of Commerce across the UK, representing thousands of firms. It provides a unified voice for these companies, rooted in their communities, at the national level. They link their UK network with over 68 international member chambers, to promote trade and investment, and work for a better future for businesses around the world.

Over 100 businesses from across the UK were nominated by Chambers across five categories; Digital Revolution Business of the Year (sponsored by HP), Global Britain Business of the Year (sponsored by UK Export Finance), Green Innovation Business of the Year, People and Work Business of the Year, and Local Economy of the Future Business of the Year.

The entries were assessed and scored by an independent panel of judges. Representatives from the winning firms in each category have travelled to the Stock Exchange to pick up their trophies – and hear the announcement of the coveted Winner of Winners.

The BCC is delighted to be back at the Stock Exchange for this wonderful occasion celebrating the power of British business and the unique Chamber network.
