POLITICO today rang in the next stage of its coverage of the British economy by launching a new POLITICO Pro Financial Services UK product at the opening of the London Stock Exchange.
Hosted on the POLITICO Pro platform and delivered through a daily morning newsletter and breaking news alerts, Financial Services UK covers the intersection of politics, policy, economics and finance, including post-Brexit regulations, innovations in FinTech, and the policies that are moving markets in the City.
Fiona Maxwell, POLITICO’s Financial Services UK Editor, was joined by colleagues from across the publication’s newsroom and commercial teams to open the markets and recognise the expansion of POLITICO’s reporting.
Hannah Brenton, James Fitzgerald, and Eleanor Myers will join Maxwell to complete the Financial Services UK team. Their expertise will help ensure both policymakers and industry professionals are across the developments and analyses that matter in the sector.
This launch follows POLITICO’s continued investment in financial policy, politics, and regulatory reporting. In 2023, Izabella Kaminska joined the publication as Senior Finance Editor in Europe whilst POLITICO also established policy areas Financial Services and Central Banker to cover the most significant developments for businesses across the continent.
“Robust financial coverage is at the beating heart of our newsroom,” said Jamil Anderlini, POLITICO’s Editor-in-Chief for Europe. “POLITICO prides itself on consistently keeping our readers ahead and informed, so in addition to strengthening our POLITICO Pro offering, I’m delighted to expand our London newsroom further and bring our distinctive journalism to the UK’s financial sector.”
As part of the launch of Financial Services UK, readers can sign up for a four-week free trial of the Morning Pro Financial Services UK newsletter from February 20.
