LSEG was delighted to host the finale to the Centre for Synchronous Leadership's 2024 Agents of Change initiative. This year's event marks a significant milestone in gathering business leaders from across the world to explore how three critical megatrends – AI, geopolitics and climate change – are shaping the future of the business sector, and to reflect on their role in influencing what happens next.
The Agents of Change initiative began the year at the United Nations Headquarters in New York. CSL facilitated a session with senior business leaders and UN leaders about challenges and opportunities posed by the three megatrends, blindspots in boardroom decision making, and how to maximise their positive ripple effects. Following this, similar sessions were held at the UN offices in Chile and Singapore. The initiative currently has over eighty advisory board members – spanning Europe, North America, South America, Asia and Africa.
The Chair of the Agents of Change initiative – Justine Lutterodt, Founder of CSL and Author of the Mindful Exclusion Governance Report presented a keynote on:
- Why C-suite leaders and boardrooms need Agents of Change to secure their future
- What is at stake for business in relation to each strand - tech, sustainability, diversity
- Initial insights from exploring intersectionality across these strands
This was followed by a panel featuring members of the Agents of Change advisory board:
- Jennifer Thomas | Global Head of EDI at LSEG | Main Advisory
- Penny Scott-Bayfield | Chief Financial Officer at Bloomsbury Publishing | Main Advisory
- Ramkumar Chandrasekaran | HR Director at TCS UK&I | HR Advisory
- Daniel Danso | Director for EDI Americas at LSEG | Diversity Advisory
- Paddy Linighan | Chief Sustainability Officer at Clyde & Co | Sustainability Advisory
- Kate Sargent | Chief Data Officer at Financial Times | Tech Advisory

Since being founded in 2010, its mission has been to study, activate and support corporate ‘changemakers’ (i.e., business leaders who aspire to leave a positive legacy of change) – helping them to become more mindful of their ripple effects, more motivated to take action, and more skillful in balancing corporate interests with ethical values.
At LSEG, we remain committed to driving financial stability that enables sustainable growth for our customers and their communities.
“Our thanks go out to the LSEG Team for generously hosting this year's finale. CSL is passionate about the role that business can play in creating a better, more sustainable society. This global thought leadership initiative is CSL's way to support the evolution of the business sector by exploring how critical corporate roles can be activated as effective agents of change.”
