“We are delighted to welcome Shonda Rhimes and Netflix to open trading at the London Stock Exchange. The Exchange was given its formal structure at the start of the 1800s – the same period in which Bridgerton is set - and now as then we continue to help companies raise the capital they need to grow and thrive. Our film and creative industries bring enormous benefits to the UK economy, creating jobs, driving innovation and building communities, and we are thrilled to celebrate the significant economic and cultural impact of their work.”

It is remarkable how this has resonated with audiences worldwide. But it has done more than that. It has provided jobs in the local area where it is shot and delivered over quarter of a billion pounds to the UK economy.”
