The Clean Growth Leadership Network celebrates its “Energising the transition” event

The Clean Growth Leadership Network (CGLN) has today opened London Stock Exchange trading at an official Market Opening Ceremony.

The CGLN is an independent, not-for-profit organisation, harnessing the power of networks to build a platform for academic and scientific innovators to connect with business leaders, financiers and policymakers to help accelerate the transition to a clean economy.

They believe that we are in the midst of the most profound industrial and social revolution of our times. This transition will require us to re-engineer almost every aspect of our economy. It will require great innovation and clear policies from governments, and it will require the private sector to invest trillions of dollars into new technologies and businesses.

Whilst the challenge of reengineering the UK economy is large, this challenge will bring with it unparalleled opportunity.

Following the ceremony, the CGLN are bringing together a range of expert voices for their event ‘Energising the transition: the future of energy intensive industries.’

Commencing with a keynote from Lord Dominic Johnson, Minister of State for Investment at the Department for Business and Trade, the event will look at how we can supercharge the energy transition and revitalise industrial heartlands by securing an abundance of low cost, clean power for energy-intensive business.

Commenting on the event, Yulia Chekunaeva, Executive Director, said: “We are delighted to be partnering with the London Stock Exchange to bring together expert voices and senior stakeholders to facilitate the transition from clean growth ideas into implementable solutions.”
