London Stock Exchange welcomes The Right Honourable Lord Mayor of London Alderman William Russell to celebrate the Green Horizon Summit at COP26
About the Green Horizon Summit
Led by the City of London and the Green Finance Institute, the Green Horizon Summit – also known as GHS@COP26 – was a five-day hybrid conference held during the first week of COP26, delivering a platform for practical engagement and active dialogue.
Recognising the critical need to mobilise private capital, GHS@COP26 brought together key green finance stakeholders, to address shared global challenges with the transition to net zero across borders and sectors. LSEG was one of 25 leading financial and professional services institutions that partnered with GHS@COP26.
On the occasion, LSEG Chair, Don Robert, also highlighted the recent announcement from the Climate Governance Initiative backed by Chapter Zero.
The Climate Governance Initiative, supported by Chapter Zero in the UK, mobilises boards of directors around the world to address climate change in their businesses. They do this by developing and supporting national associations that equip their members with the skills and knowledge needed to make climate a strategic priority for boards, building on the World Economic Forum’s Principles for Effective Climate Governance.
