London Stock Exchange welcomes LendInvest to AIM

Today, London Stock Exchange welcomes LendInvest to trading on AIM .

LendInvest is an asset manager for property finance whose technology-led, disruptive business model provides investors with the opportunity to invest in high-quality property finance assets to earn attractive risk-adjusted returns, while providing borrowers with tailored, convenient and competitively-priced property finance solutions.

Founded by its Executive Chair Christian Faes and Chief Investment Officer Ian Thomas in 2008, LendInvest has since set out to transform the property finance sector, characterised by rigid products, poor customer experience and manual, paper-based processes. LendInvest now has £2.8bn FuM (as at 21 June 2021) and has helped to put thousands of new or improved homes into the UK housing market.

In that time, LendInvest has built a truly international investor base, with investors comprising some of the world’s largest financial institutions including HSBC, J.P. Morgan, Citigroup and National Australia Bank. In 2019, LendInvest became the first UK Fintech to securitise a portfolio of buy-to-let mortgages.

LendInvest has raised gross proceeds of £40.0m through a new issue of shares at Admission. At the placing price of 186p per share, the company has a market capitalisation of £255.6 million.

Rod Lockhart CEO of LendInvest, said: “Since 2008 we’ve been working to disrupt the property finance market.

Over the last 13 years we have built a highly scalable platform that has grown to become a proven challenger to the traditional lenders’ monopoly on the sector. Underpinned by industry-leading technology, our alternative asset management platform provides our investors with the opportunity to access real estate finance as an asset class; and borrowers to enjoy an unrivalled online experience when obtaining property finance.

Listing in London today is the next landmark in our growth journey, and we are hugely excited about the future for LendInvest. The capital that we have raised through this IPO will enable us to accelerate our technology roadmap, expand into new areas of property finance, and attract new investors, brokers and borrowers to our platform.

We set out to make property finance simple, and today’s IPO is an important milestone in our journey towards achieving that goal.”
