London Stock Exchange welcomes J.P.Morgan Global Core Real Assets Ltd to the Main Market

London Stock Exchange today welcomed J.P.Morgan Global Core Real Assets Limited (Ltd) to celebrate its launch and admission to the Premium Segment of the Main Market on the 24th September, having raised £148.9 million through an Initial Placing, Offer for Subscription and Intermediaries Offer.

Trading under the ticker “JARA”, J.P.Morgan Global Core Real Assets Ltd is a new alternative investment trust which will provide diversified access to approximately 500 underlying private real assets through strategies managed by J.P. Morgan Asset Management’s USD148 billion Global Alternatives platform.

John Scott, Chairman of J.P.Morgan Global Core Real Assets Limited, commented:

“Successful IPO launches in the closed end fund universe have become few and far between in recent times. To see a fundraising so well-supported by a broad range of investors, both within and outside the UK, is testament to the shared conviction we all have in what J.P.Morgan Global Core Real Assets is seeking to deliver. The Company’s objective of income generation and capital growth from investing in globally diversified private real assets across infrastructure, transport and real estate, as well as direct investment in listed real assets, is a compelling one. We can now turn our attention towards delivering this objective and growing the Company.”

Simon CrinageHead of Investment Trusts at J.P. Morgan Asset Management, commented:

“We’re delighted with this launch which marks a new chapter for our investment trust business. Offering access to our global real asset capabilities through the closed end fund structure for the first time, backed by one of the world’s leading managers of core real assets strategies, has been a long time in the works as we sought to build a differentiated product which would truly meet the needs of today’s investors. We feel incredibly privileged to be in a position where we can help investors build even more resilient portfolios with J.P.Morgan Global Core Real Assets and, crucially, offer a predictable and reliable income stream in these testing times, where the search for yield remains front and centre for many investors.”

BDO acted as sole sponsor.
