London Stock Exchange welcomes Henderson High Income Trust plc celebrating 30 years sine listing

Henderson High Income Trust plc was today welcomed to London Stock Exchange to mark 30 years since the Trust launched on the 1st December 1989.

The Trust invests in a prudently diversified selection of large and smaller companies to provide investors with a high level of dividend income while also maintaining the prospect of capital growth over the long term.

Margaret Littlejohns, Chairman of Henderson High Income Trust commented: “We are delighted to be taking part in the London Stock Exchange Market Open ceremony to mark 30 years since the launch of Henderson High Income Trust.

Looking back over the past three decades serves as a reminder of the importance of income to long term investors. Despite the current volatile market backdrop, Henderson High Income Trust continues to build on its history of delivering a relatively high and dependable income stream for its shareholders. It has achieved this objective by constructing a diverse portfolio of financially sound companies with sustainable cash generative businesses.

“Turning to the future, the Trust will continue to build a well-diversified portfolio of such investments to create for its shareholders regular and reliable income with potential for capital growth in this environment of continuing low interest rates.”
