London Stock Exchange welcomes Bridgepoint Group plc to the Premium Segment of the Main Market

Today, Bridgepoint, the UK headquartered, leading mid-market private asset firm in the world, has reached an important milestone as it begins trading on the Main Market of the London Stock Exchange. Bridgepoint priced its initial public offering at 350 pence per share, leading to a total market capitalisation at the commencement of conditional dealings at approximately £2,881 million, which equates to a total offer size of £789 million.
Founded in 2000 from a spin out of NatWest as NatWest Equity Partners, over the past 30 years Bridgepoint has become the global leader in middle-market growth investing, investing in over 200 portfolio companies, several of which are some of the UK’s most successful business stories, including Pret a Manger, Hobbycraft, Vitamin Well, Moneycorp, Miller Homes, PEI Media and Burger King (UK franchise). Bridgepoint also recently announced a significant minority investment into Itsu which will support considerable job and store growth. Across Bridgepoint’s portfolio it employs over 300,000 and specifically targets small to medium-sized companies, which represent important parts of the UK, and European, economies. Bridgepoint has 10 offices across Europe, the US and Asia.
