London Stock Exchange welcomes Breedon Group plc to the Main Market

Breedon Group plc today celebrates its move from the AIM Market to the premium segment of the London Stock Exchange’s Main Market, reflecting the scale, maturity and growth ambitions of the Group.

Breedon is a leading vertically-integrated construction materials group in Great Britain and Ireland, producing value-added downstream products from its extensive asset base, while providing employment and opportunity to approximately 3,700 colleagues across more than 300 sites.

As an established business with a track record for growth and cash generation, robust corporate governance and ambitions for further expansion, the Board believe the Main Market offers the appropriate listing for a group of our scale and heritage.

It is expected that the move to the Main Market, where the ordinary shares of Breedon will continue to trade under the stock ticker BREE.L, will enhance Breedon’s corporate profile and recognition, while extending the opportunity to invest in the Group to a broader cohort of international institutional shareholders and index tracker funds.

Breedon will not seek to raise funds in connection with the admission.

Amit Bhatia, Non-executive Chairman of Breedon, commented:

“Being a member of AIM has served us well. For over a decade, our current listing has provided us with access to diverse and engaged investors within a supportive community that understands the needs of entrepreneurial businesses such as Breedon. We thank them wholeheartedly for their support.

“As an established business with a track record for growth and value creation, we believe the move to the Main Market will best support the delivery of our long-term strategy and offers the appropriate listing for a company of our scale and heritage. We look forward to our future as a member of the premium segment of the Main Market.”
