London Stock Exchange welcomes the 2025 cohort of companies and funds driving the growth of the Green Economy

The London Stock Exchange was delighted to celebrate the launch of the 2025 Green Economy Mark cohort at our Market Close ceremony that took place on Thursday 17th July.

This year, we celebrate the Green Economy Mark cohort of 2025, comprised of 101 companies and funds. Their combined market capitalisation of over £195bn is a record high for an annual Green Economy Mark cohort. It is testament to the scale and significance of their contribution to the green economy.

According to the London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG)’s latest research, Investing in the Green Economy 2025, green revenues for all global listed companies stood at $7.9 trillion in 2025. Over the past decade, it has grown at a compound annual rate of 15%, second only to the technology sector. This growth reflects the scale of the opportunity presented by the transition to a resilient, low-carbon economy.

From early-stage green innovators to long-established companies and specialist green funds, the diversity and breadth of this year's cohort highlights the value of the Green Economy Mark in providing visibility to a cross-sector universe of green equities beyond those typically referenced as green. If classified as a sector in its own right, the 2025 cohort would rank fifth in terms of capital raised over the past two years, only behind Healthcare, Financials, Utilities and Consumer Discretionary.

Access the insight to discover what is driving the green economy, how it’s evolving and the companies and funds innovating in the green economy space.
