London Stock Exchange Group celebrating 10 years of the 30% Club Mentoring Programme

London Stock Exchange Group welcomed the 30% Club on Wednesday 13 July. The campaign established to get more women into board and executive leadership roles, to celebrate the 10th anniversary of its cross-company mentoring programme.

Delivered by the campaign's partner Moving Ahead, the programme has become the largest of its kind in the world with more than 16,000 participants from 50 countries and 30 sectors.

The programme helps to build and widen the talent pipeline to help member organisations achieve gender balance throughout their senior management and leadership teams.

In 2019 the 30% Club broadened its focus by introducing race and ethnicity targets in the UK and the mentoring programme also expanded with Mission INCLUDE, the strand of the programme that welcomes mentees from all underrepresented groups.

LSEG is a member of the 30% Club and the organisation has been a proud participant in the mentoring programme, with over 160 mentees and mentors since 2016. LSEG now has 46.2% of Women on Boards and in Leadership positions.

Laura Whitcombe, global campaign manager at the 30% Club, said:

“We are delighted to be at the LSEG to celebrate a decade of the 30% Club mentoring programme. It's a vital part of our global campaign to achieve gender balance across the global business community. LSEG's commitment to diversity and inclusion is a great example to countless other organisations. It has been a great supporter of our campaign and the mentoring programme. We are so pleased to be here today to mark this milestone anniversary together.”
