About QIIB

Listed on the Qatar Stock Exchange, QIIB has developed a strong network of regional and international partnerships, positioning itself as a key player in both local and global markets.

QIIB is dedicated to offering a comprehensive range of retail and corporate banking services, ensuring that its diverse and expanding customer base is well served.

As a customer-centric institution, QIIB is increasingly recognised for its pivotal role in the evolving financial landscape, where Islamic banking continues to gain traction as a sustainable and competitive alternative to conventional banking.

With a network of branches across Qatar, QIIB delivers accessible and efficient services to customers nationwide.

International credit agencies have acknowledged the Bank’s solid financial standing, with Fitch rating QIIB at ‘A’ and Moody’s assigning an ‘A2’ rating, both with a stable outlook.

In September 2024, QIIB reaffirmed its global ambitions by returning to the London Stock Exchange (LSE) to list a $300 million capital sukuk. This move further underscores the Bank’s long-term vision and commitment to sustainable growth. The Sukuk witnessed great demand from investors, the total order book reached more than eight times the issuance size, which confirms confidence in QIIB and the Qatari economy. The subscription to QIIB Sukuk came from 115 investors around the world, with the total subscription orders exceeding amount of 2.5 billion US dollars.

QIIB’s choice to list on the LSE reflects the Bank’s confidence in London’s status as a leading international financial hub, irrespective of Brexit’s impact. London remains a key centre for Islamic finance, and QIIB is confident it will continue to hold this position in the future.

Through its sukuk issuances, QIIB achieves multiple objectives, including promoting sustainability-linked financing, strengthening its presence in global financial markets, and fostering new partnerships with international investors.

QIIB Chairman, His Excellency Sheikh Dr Khalid bin Thani Bin Abdullah al-Thani, remarked:

"We are delighted with the success of this issuance and its listing. It reflects the growing confidence in the Qatari economy among global investors. We are honoured to have the opportunity to list our sukuk on the London Stock Exchange."
