London Stock Exchange celebrates the launch of the Jewish Women's Business Network
In a flagship event, London Stock Exchange Group celebrated the launch of the Jewish Women’s Business Network with an evening conference and Market Open ceremony the following morning.
Several hundred attendees travelled from South Africa, USA, Israel and Gibraltar. Leading businesswomen, entrepreneurs, philanthropists, entertainers, and politicians of all ages and from a diverse selection of business sectors heard inspiring talks, networked and developed business relationships.
London’s historic markets were opened by female leaders including The Rt Hon Elizabeth Truss MP, Chief Secretary to the Treasury; Marilyn Stowe, Stowe Family Law LLP; Sharon Bar-li, Deputy Ambassador, Embassy of Israel, London; and Emma Sinclair MBE Entrepreneur, Co-Founder of Enterprise Alumni and UNICEF advisor.

The event was applauded by Sharon Bar-li, Deputy Ambassador, Embassy of Israel, London, who cited her commitment to promote gender equality and women’s empowerment and make workplaces free from gender-based violence and harassment.
The event came together under the leadership of Justine Zwerling, Head of Israel Capital Markets at London Stock Exchange Group; Yael Simon, a global female entrepreneur and business leader; and the Jewish Women’s Business Network team.
London Stock Exchange Group launched its Women Inspired Network, WIN, in 2015. WIN is a global network that nurtures female talent with a mission statement “to inspire and be inspired.” London Stock Exchange Group is among the first 72 signatories of the HMT Women in Finance Charter to pledge for gender balance across financial services, thereby committing to a stretching goal of 40% of senior roles filled by women by 2020.
