
London Stock Exchange welcomes Seplat Energy to celebrate its 10 Year Listing Anniversary
Seplat Energy, a leading Nigerian energy company dual listed on the Nigerian Exchange Limited and the London Stock Exchange, is proud to mark a decade since it completed the first ever Lagos / London dual listing.
Seplat Energy commenced trading in London and Lagos on 14 April 2014, raising $535 million to grow its energy business in Nigeria. Since its listing, the Company has returned $575 million in dividends to shareholders, paid over $2.0 billion in royalties, taxes and levies to the government of Nigeria, and more than doubled its oil and gas reserves to 478 million barrels of oil equivalent. Furthermore, over the past decade, Seplat has invested over $1.6 billion in capex, supporting the production of approximately 90 million barrels of oil, and supplying almost 400 billion cubic feet of natural gas to the domestic market.
Today, Seplat Energy’s achievements will be celebrated when it closes the market on the London Stock Exchange, having recently undertaken the market closing ceremony on the Nigerian Stock Exchange.
