Celebrating the launch of the UN SSE Model Guidance on Climate Transition Plans and the opening of the World Climate Investment Summit

London – 26th June 2025: LSEG was delighted to host the United Nations Sustainable Stock Exchanges (UN SSE) initiative, Singapore Exchange (SGX Group) and World Climate Foundation (WCF) in London today. The market open ceremony celebrated the launch of the UN SSE Model Guidance on Climate Transition Plans and marked the opening of the World Climate Investment Summit event. 

The new Model Guidance on Climate Transition Plans offers a practical and comprehensive tool to help exchanges around the world support the issuers on their markets in developing and disclosing high-quality transition plans. Through climate transition plans, issuers can set out their vision, their targets and the practical steps they are taking to achieve their sustainability goals and manage climate-related risks. LSEG was honoured to contribute to the development of this guidance as co-chairs of the Advisory Group, alongside SGX Group.

Dr. Anthony Miller, Chief Coordinator of the UN SSE, said: “Transition plans are becoming a cornerstone of climate action in capital markets. With this new Model Guidance, we’re equipping stock exchanges with the tools they need to support listed companies in delivering credible, science-based transition strategies. Taking place on 26th June, the World Climate Investment Summit has partnered for its fourth year with LSEG to host a flagship event of London Climate Action Week at the London Stock Exchange. The Summit will facilitate dialogue on sector-specific and market-driven actions, investments and partnerships to support a sustainable and profitable future.
