London Stock Exchange involved in the discussions on Non-bank lending: Funding for Growth |
On 17th March 2010, CassBusinessSchool in partnership with The Association of Corporate Treasurers (ACT) hosted a breakfast to address the issues of companies trying to reschedule or raise new debt. The discussion also reflected on the continuing developments and possible obstacles in developing more efficient and cost effective mechanisms for non-bank lending. The meeting covered the perspectives of Corporate Treasurers, Banks, Investors and Intermediaries and offered an opportunity to debate some of the specific questions raised in the HM Treasury paper, such as credit assessment, information provision to investors, bank capacity and competition in the market. |
Retail Bond Market Seminars |
The London Stock Exchange held a free seminar which provided an introduction to the new retail bond market and a general update on the Exchange’s other markets.
