03/01/2012- First ETF listing of 2012 from Source

Source became the first ETF issuer listing an ETF in 2012 on London Stock Exchange. The new ETF tracks LGIM Commodity Composite Index, offering high quality, diversified exposure to commodities.

07/12/2011- 2 New ETFs from db X-trackers

db X-trackers has listed ATX ETF and &P 500 Equal Weight ETF on London Stock Exchange. The first reflects the performance of large-cap common stocks of publicly held companies actively traded on the Wiener Boerse; while the second tracks the performance of the companies in the S&P 500 index in equal weights.

iShares has listed an ETF tracking Dow Jones Emerging Markets Select Dividend Index which aims to capture the performance of emerging market dividend paying companies that can sustain an appropriate dividend program over time.

24/10/2011- New ETF from iShares

iShares has listed MSCI ACWI ETF on the London Stock Exchange. This ETF aims to track the performance of the MSCI All Country World Index Net USD as closely as possible and offers exposure to stocks from developed and emerging countries worldwide.

20/10/2011- New ETFs from State Street SPDR

State Street Global Advisors has listed 2 new ETFs on the London Stock Exchange, the SPDR S&P US Dividend Aristocrats ETF and the SPDR S&P Emerging Markets Dividend ETF. They both invest physically in equities with high dividend yields, one tracking 60 US stocks with an increased dividend every year for the last 25 years and the other tracks 100 high dividend-yielding emerging market countries stocks.

Source and Pimco have now listed their 3rd joint on the London Stock Exchange. Pimco Emerging Markets Advantage Local Bond Index Source ETF offers diversified exposure to emerging markets, selected according to gross domestic product (GDP) and a country's ability to service its debt.

15/06/2011- Pimco listing its second ETF

Pimco Source has listed its second actively managed fixed income ETF on the London Stock Exchange called Pimco Sterling Short Maturity Source ETF.

db X-trackers has listed 14 new ETFs on the London Stock Exchange, 11 of which are tracking MSCI Emerging Markets sector indices. db X-trackers has also listed an ETF tracking the performance of large/mid capitalisation companies in Chile and an ETF based on Russell mid-cap Index.

Amundi listed 17 new developed equity ETFs on the London Stock Exchange. These ETFs are mainly tracking UK domestic main indices (like FTSE 100 and FTSE 250) or MSCI Europe sector indices providing exposure to the European industrial, telecom, banks, consumer and other sectors.

db X-trackers has listed 2 new ETFs on the London Stock Exchange. The db x-trackers MSCI AC Asia Ex Japan High Dividend Yield and MSCI Philippines IM TRN Index ETF. The first offers exposure to an index-tracking basket of companies that have higher dividend yield and the latter tracks the performance of large, mid and small-cap companies in the Philippines.

09/05/2011 – New ETF issuer on the London Stock Exchange

London Stock Exchange would like to welcome Amundi ETF as a new issuer to the UK market. Amundi ETF has launched 16 ETFs today on the London Stock Exchange, 5 are traded on both GBP and USD. Building on three years’ experience in Europe, Amundi ETF is extending its offering to the UK market with the launch of a range of ETFs providing exposure to regional and country equity indices.

18/04/2011 – New ETFs from db X-trackers

db X-trackers has listed FTSE 100 SUPER SHORT DAILY ETF and MSCI BRIC TRN Index ETF on the London Stock Exchange. The first ETF is linked to two times the daily inverse performance of the FTSE 100 Index, while the second one reflects the performance of large and mid capitalisation companies in Brazil, Russia, India and China and is available for trading in both USD and GBP.

15/04/2011 – Source listing a new ETF

The Nomura Voltage Mid-Term Source ETF was listed on the London Stock Exchange today. This ETF provides exposure to volatility spikes while decreasing the costs associated with a constant long volatility position.

07/04/2011 – HSBC launch Korea ETF

HSBC has expanded its Asia ETF range by launching Korea ETF today on the London Stock Exchange. This ETF can be traded in both USD and GBP.

30/03/2011 – Launch of three Emerging Market ETFs by HSBC and one ETF providing exposure to short dated bonds by iShares

HSBC has launched 3 more Emerging Market ETFs on London Stock Exchange, which track the performance of MSCI Indonesia, Taiwan and Malaysia. These indices are market-capitalisation weighted indices designed to measure the performance of the largest publicly listed companies in their underlying countries.

iShares has launched an ETF providing exposure to short-dated corporate bonds denominated in sterling on the London Stock Exchange. The Markit iBoxx £ Corporate Bond 1-5 ETF boosts iShares fixed income range to 42 products.

21/03/2011 – Deutsche Bank launched new ‘Socially-Conscious’ ETF

db x-trackers listed Global Fund Supporters ETF on the London Stock Exchange. This socially-conscious ETF tracks the performance of the Dow Jones Global Fund 50 Index, and is to help finance the fight against Aids, tuberculosis and malaria. Revenues from this ETF after costs will go into the same Global Fund. This is the first db x-trackers ETF which uses physical replication to track its index.

14/03/2011 – New ETFs from db X-trackers

db X-trackers has listed a new share class of DBLCI OY BALANCED ETF, and FTSE EPRA/NAREIT Global Real Estate ETF on the London Stock Exchange. This time the fund currency for DBLCI OY ETF is GBP and is traded in GBp. The FTSE EPRA/NAREIT Global Real Estate ETF reflects the performance of globally listed equity REITS and global property companies and complements its developed Europe and Eurozone real estate ETFs.

11/03/2011 – HSBC launched new emerging market ETF

HSBC launched Latin America ETF on the London Stock Exchange, which trades in both GBP and USD and tracks the performance of the MSCI EM Latin America Net Total Return Index. This fund uses optimized physical replication to track the performance of its respective index.

04/03/2011 – New Emerging Market ETF from HSBC

HSBC has expended its Emerging Market ETF product range by listing MSCI MEXICO CAPPED ETF today on the London Stock Exchange, tradable in GBP and USD. This ETF designed to replicate the performance of MSCI Mexico Capped Index on a total return basis.

01/03/2011 – New equity ETFs from ETF Securities

ETF Securities has listed ETFX Dow Jones Brookfield Global Infrastructure, ETFX Dow Jones Brookfield Emerging Markets Infrastructure and ETFX Dow Jones Global Select Dividend ETFs on the London Stock Exchange.

These funds are part of the company's equity platform and are synthetically replicated using a multi-counterparty swap model. ETFX global and emerging markets infrastructure ETFs are the first ones in Europe to track their underlying Dow Jones indices, designed to offer broader and more focused exposure to infrastructure equities.

28/02/2011 – iShares and ETF Securities launch new ETFs

iShares has launched two sustainable equity ETFs , Dow Jones Global Sustainability Screened available in USD and GBP and the Dow Jones Europe Sustainability Screened available to trade in GBP and Euro on London Stock Exchange. These are the first London-listed ETFs to provide regional access to the sustainable sector.

ETF Securities has launched EFFX-BofAML IVSTOXX ETF on London Stock Exchange which provides an exposure to the implied volatility of the EURO STOXX 50® Index.

24/02/2011 – New ETFs from Credit Suisse, HSBC and new issuer PIMCO.

PIMCO has launched an actively managed ETF - the first on the London Stock Exchange

Credit Suisse has launched four new ETFs on the London Stock Exchange tracking European and US money markets (Fed Funds Effective Rate and EONIA), and MSCI World and Global Alternative Energy. The Global Alternative Energy ETF is directly replicating the index while the other 3 are swap-based ETFs with the Credit Suisse being the swap counterparty.

HSBC has also launched a physically replicated ETF tracking the performance of MSCI Canada TRN index which is available in both USD and GBP on the London Stock Exchange.

London Stock Exchange would like to welcome a new issuer PIMCO with its active ETF, PIMCO Euro Enhanced Short Maturity Source ETF which provided investors the exposure to a diversified portfolio of euro-denominated fixed-income securities with a maturity of up to a year. This is the first actively managed ETF listed on the London Stock Exchange.

21/02/2011 – Ten New ETFs from RBS Market Access

RBS Market Access has listed 10 new ETFs on the London Stock Exchange that give investors exposure to monthly leveraged indices for the first time in Europe, or provide them with exposure to euro currency hedged indices.

HSBC has listed S&P BRIC 40 ETF today on the London Stock Exchange in both USD and GBP. S&P BRIC 40 Index is designed to offer exposure to the leading companies from Brazil, Russia, India and China.

HSBC has launched an ETF tracking the performance of MSCI China, which includes shares of Chinese blue chip companies, on the London Stock Exchange. This ETF can be traded in both USD and GBP.

iShares has launched an MSCI Poland ETF available on the London Stock Exchange in both USD and GBP. This is the first physical-based ETF in Europe with exposure to equity markets in Poland.

2 New ETFs from Lyxor

Lyxor has expanded its fixed income ETF offerings by launching iboxx EUR Liquid High Yield 30 in Euro and iboxx $ Liquid EM Markets Sovereign in US Dollars. The first tracks an index with exposure to 30 liquid high yield Euro-denominated non-government bonds; while the latter tracks an index containing bonds denominated in USD and issued by the low or middle income sovereign states.

HSBC have launched their first ETF products in the UK - the FTSE 100 Source ETF and the FTSE 250 Source ETF. This is the first step for Source into the UK ETF market, and follows on from the launch of their Physical Gold ETC in London in June 2009.

25/08/2009 - HSBC enters the European ETF market place

HSBC listed it's 'HSBC FTSE 100 ETF' on the London Stock Exchange today. The launch demonstrates the group’s ambitions to become a leader in the European Exchange Traded Funds market. In the coming months, HSBC plans to launch further ETFs on the LSE as it builds a comprehensive range for all types of investor.

x-trackers becomes the first ETF issuer to use the EEA-listing admission route

db x-trackers has admitted to trading 3 ETFs using the EEA-listing admission route. This admission route, introduced in September 2008, allows ETF issuers choice in how to access the London market, by allowing them to admit funds to trading based on a listing in another EEA jurisdiction. All funds are still required to be UCITS compliant, and admitted to a regulated market, but there is no requirement to obtain an additional listing through the UKLA.

22/06/09 - ETF Securities launches Europe’s first complete platform of double leveraged (2x) and double short (-2x) ETFs tracking Europe’s main equity indices

8 new ETFs tracking 2x short and 2x leveraged versions of Europe’s main equity indices: Dow Jones EURO STOXX 50^®, FTSE 100^®, CAC 40^® and DAX^® . ETF securities will be holding a launch presentation for institutional investors on long and short trading strategies using ETFs and ETCs on the 8 July 2009,

May was a very strong month for ETF and ETC trading across the Group’s order books, reaching a new record total of 269,197 trades. The average daily number of trades more than doubled, up 115 per cent year on year to 13,607, and the average daily value traded increased by 71 per cent year on year to £371.3 million (€419.8 million). The total value traded during the month was £7.3 billion (€8.2 billion).

Growth in ETF and ETC trading across the two exchanges’ order books continued to be very strong, with the average daily number of trades up 117 per cent year on year to 12,464, and the average daily value traded up 68 per cent to £343.3 million (€384.3 million). This strong growth was supported by a record number of trades on ETF Plus, the Italian ETF market, which saw an average 9,618 trades daily in ETFs and ETCs during the month.

iShares launch seven new ETFs on the London Stock Exchange; iShares MSCI Pacific ex-Japan; iShares MSCI Europe ex-EMU; iShares FTSE Developed World ex-UK; iShares Barclays Government Bond 5-7; iShares Barclays Government Bond 10-15; iShares Barclays Euro Treasury Bond and iShares FTSE Gilts UK 0-5.

20/3/09 – iShares launch new ETFs

iShares launches new ETF on MSCI GCC Countries ex. Saudia Arabia Index. This new ETF allows investors to gain exposure to the equity markets of UAE, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain and Oman. The ETF will be available in two currency lines - Sterling (quoted in pence) and US dollars.
