Change to Infolect re-requesting policy

The London Stock Exchange is committed to the ongoing review of its policies in direct response to both customer requests and an evolving market. As such, following a period of extensive evaluation, the London Stock Exchange has updated its Infolect re-requesting policy to provide greater versatility and choice to Exchange Hosting customers.

The current mandatory implementation and testing of re-request functionality for missed market data messages will be relaxed to a recommendation only, for those customers who use exchange data for internal, non-display use within the Exchange Hosting environment.

As this change in policy will adjust the current two way data flow to be a one way dissemination of data, no conformance, high volume or connectivity testing will be mandated.

To opt into this policy alteration, customers must provide the Exchange with written intent; should hosted contracts already be completed a written notification must be provided, those customers yet to complete contracts may opt-in at this stage.

Following the successful roll-out and implementation of this policy change, the Exchange will review the potential to initiate a wider roll-out across its managed networks - Extranex and Bit Net. 

Customers should be aware that the removal of rerequest functionality will be applied at an enablement level. Customers are advised to ensure that their daily receipt of the Reference Data download is able to be completed in full and that rerequest functionality on these channels is available if required.
