Dedicated Customer Connectivity-London and Milan

London Stock Exchange has launched a high speed dedicated connectivity service between the Exchange Hosting London and Milan Data Centres.

To support our customers evolving needs London Stock Exchange has introduced a new low latency connectivity service to allow customers to connect, via a dedicated circuit, direct from the Exchange Hosting service in London to the Hosting service in Milan. 

The dedicated connectivity service utilises the fastest available route between the Exchange’s London and Milan Data Centres.  To provide this service the Exchange has leveraged the global network of Level 3 Communications.

The key features of the service are:

• Fastest currently available route between London and Milan - Providing excellent SLA’d round trip time latency
• Choice of circuit sizes - Customers can select either 1GigE or 10GigE circuit sizes delivered over fibre in both London and Milan Data Centres
• Choice of protected and unprotected circuits - Customers can chose to lease either protected (dual) circuits or alternatively un-protected single circuits to suit their usage and risk profiles
• Secure and resilient service - Providing high standard of security and levels of resilience for protected circuits

With the speed of trading and delivery of market data to customers increasing significantly over the last few years the ability for customers to execute orders with reduced network latency is a key ingredient to increase their certainty of execution and to reduce risk and exposure of their strategies.

The Exchange has been able to work closely with Level 3 Communications to bulk purchase bandwidth between the two locations that will enable our customers to reduce their overall cost while improving their trading efficiency.
