All companies whose shares are traded on the London Stock Exchange have to publish an annual report.
These are posted to shareholders but can also be downloaded from a company’s website or from the Exchange itself.
The annual report provides statements from the chairman and chief executive about how the company has performed, its main achievements and the objectives for the year ahead.
The annual report will also give detailed information about a company’s business – where it operates, what it does and how it interacts with stakeholders.
Detailed financial information is provided too, not just around the company’s annual results but also such data as directors’ remuneration (pay) and any share options or incentive plans they may have.
