10/03/10 - UBS admit 69 ETCs on to the London Stock Exchange
The London Stock Exchange announces that UBS has become a new issuer of Exchange Traded Commodities (ETCs) on its makrets. The bank has admitted 69 products in its first major issuance of ETCs in Europe outside Switzerland. For more information please click here.

16/12/09 - ETF Securities List Physcial Swiss Gold ETC.
The Physcial Swiss Gold ETC has been constructed by ETF Securities to reflect the performance of the price of gold bullion. The ETC is open ended and is designed for investors to gain exposure into physcial gold in a cost-efffective and convenient way. 27/11/09 - ETF Securities and Morgan Stanley Conference: How to use FX ETCs. 
On the 8th of December ETF Securities and Morgan Stanley will be giving a presentation on FX as an asset class and investment strategies using FX ETCs at the London Stock Exchange. 12/11/09 - The London Stock Exchange welcomes the listing of 18 currency ETCs issued by ETF Securities.
The ETCs have been manufactured as fully collateralised investment vehicles aimed at giving individuals and institutions exposure in one of the major G10 countries against the US dollar. The London Stock Exchange is delighted to see these Exchange Traded Products expand into new asset classes and will continue to support issuers who bring these innovative ideas to the market.
 
30/06/09 - London Stock Exchange welcomes Source as a new issuer of Exchange Traded Commodities (ETCs) onto its markets.
Source has listed its Physical Gold ETC (Gold P-ETC) which tracks the performance of gold by investing directly in gold bullion and has chosen London Stock Exchange in order to make its product available for trading in US dollars.

May was a very strong month for ETF and ETC trading across the Group’s order books, reaching a new record total of 269,197 trades. The average daily number of trades more than doubled, up 115 per cent year on year to 13,607, and the average daily value traded increased by 71 per cent year on year to £371.3 million (€419.8 million). The total value traded during the month was £7.3 billion (€8.2 billion).

Growth in ETF and ETC trading across the two exchanges’ order books continued to be very strong, with the average daily number of trades up 117 per cent year on year to 12,464, and the average daily value traded up 68 per cent to £343.3 million (€384.3 million). This strong growth was supported by a record number of trades on ETF Plus, the Italian ETF market, which saw an average 9,618 trades daily in ETFs and ETCs during the month.

15/12/08 - ETF Securities issues commodities review 2008 report
Commodities substantially outperformed equities over 2008 as equity markets fell precipitously in the wake of the credit crisis. Although down, commodities have generally weathered the financial storm better than their equity counterparts. The DJ All commodities Index remains up 14% and 107% over 5 and 10 year horizons. The S&P 500 is down 7% and 11% over the last 5 and 10 years respectively.
